Sundays are precious to a hard working gal such as myself. Its a free second to breathe & collect my thoughts from the week past. But do you know what I think about when I try to relax?! YOU. I sit on my couch and think "I need to find so and so a cute dress to wear to that party she was talking about" or "I hope whatshername like such and such in this color"....like it or not you ladies are burned into my brain. When you see a cute top/dress/anything pop up in my store I hope you know I purchased it with you in mind, so you(my ah-mazing customer) could have something new & fab to wear. I mean lets be honest everyone likes to feel good about what their wearing, nobody thinks "Gee, I hope nobody notices me or compliments my outfit tonight"! So in hopes we can make sure that never happens we are headed to boutique owners heaven (a.k.a market) this weekend and rest assured while we are there I will be thinking about you and all your fashionable needs. Call, email, message, or tweet VL for any major style requests...we would love to hear them & hopefully fulfill them.

"un-skinny" is beautiful too.

This picture came across my news feed the other day and it definitely made me smile. When exactly did the top pictures become more appealing then the bottom ones?!?! When did it become socially acceptable to condemn someone for being voluptuous?!?! Don't take it the wrong way..there is nothing wrong with being skinny! All I'm saying is when,where,why & who said it was wrong to be "un-skinny".

 For the short amount of time VL's been open we have taken pride in catering to every body size because everybody deserves to look fabulous in fabulous clothes and not everyone fits in a Small and that is a-ok.

 rock those curves, rock those A-cups, rock everything that makes you..YOU! you my darlin' are b-e-a-uuutiful, don't you ever forget it ;)

five 2012 trends we're obsessing over.

1. THE COLOR MINT.

1st trend of 2012 we are dying over. one word: MINT. It reminds us of ice cream & the sea (not together of course). Its creamy dreamy color is so beautiful but with that touch of unusual-ness that makes our heart beat! So whether its more on the mint green side or a tad more mint blue you cant go wrong with this aw worthy trend for spring!

2. FUNKY/FABULOUS STATEMENT PIECES

When we say funky/fabulous statement pieces we mean that when you see said piece on somebody else you just wanna scream "WHERE DID YOU GET THAT FROM?!?!". Best part about this amazing trend is you don't look too busy and/or loony..it is the perfect balance of simple meets loud. You can make the piece a POP of bright skirt with a solid top(as shown) or groovy patterned tights with a simple dress or even a BURST of colors & prints top with some solid jeggings...any way you do it you are sure to feel fabulous and turn some major heads!

3.NECK TIE BLOUSES

These beautiful tops are DOMINATING the fashion industry one neck bow at a time. Not only do they make you feel like a powerful woman they are extra flattering and oh so attractive on. We love the version pictured very office attire meets la fashion week...but you can also go on the daring side choosing bold vibrant colors like bright reds and emerald greens! so go throw on a neck tie blouse and rule the world ladies!

4.UNIQUE SLEEVES

this wildly popular trend for 2012 pleases my fashion lovin' soul in every way! nothing says "fabulous" like a simple dress or top with the ultimate pizazz of a unique sleeve..it can be bejeweled (as pictured) or covered with ruffles but no matter what form you find you love take a risk and rock this trend!

5.ANIMAL PRINTS

last but certainly not least is one of our personal faves, animal prints. they come and all shapes,colors and variations of prints but needless to say they are one of the easiest glamorous looks to pull of! find you a good cheetah print blouse or a great python print skirt and wear it with pride...cause girl you know you look good in it.
